Bree and Keith’s Brooklyn wedding was a gorgeous affair. We had so much fun with these two and we are very excited to share this preview with you! Here’s a few words from Bree about the wedding (more after the images) and all the details about the day. Congratulations again Bree and Keith!
“Let me start by saying, the one detail that stands out the most from our wedding, was the temperature. It was 107 degrees and I don’t think a single guest there will ever forget our wedding day because of that. Heat aside, it was truly the best day of my entire life and the love that you feel from everyone around you, from your vendors, from your family, to each and every single guest that has chosen to be there to celebrate with you and your husband, is both incredibly overwhelming and absolutely amazing at the same time.”
Details! Dress: LaSposa by Pronovias - Shoes: Jimmy Choo - Headpiece: Bridal Styles THE BEST! - Hair & Makeup: Salon da Noi (Bayridge, Brooklyn) “Amazing! Olympia, the owner, and her team made us all feel like princesses the entire morning, and our makeup never ran once, nor did we sweat it off in that heat. I cannot recommend this place more for Brooklyn brides!” - Florist: Pedestals - DJ & Uplighting: Dash of Class (Mike) - Reception: Giando on the Water - Hotel: The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge
“Keith and I relocated to Los Angeles from New York City four years ago. When Keith proposed to me in the middle of a blizzard on top of the Rockefeller Building in December of 2009, we knew right away that we wanted to get married back in Brooklyn where Keith was born and raised and where we ultimately had begun our relationship together. At times, it was often difficulty planning my NY wedding from the West Coast, especially being a Brooklyn bride. There were tons of resources for Long Island Brides but not as many for Brooklyn. We knew that we wanted to combine our love of California with New York so we chose a wine theme for our Reception to incorporate our passion for wine that we developed when we moved to California. We saved each and every cork from every bottle opened for a year and half (we had some help from family and friends) and made all of the place card setting and table numbers ourselves, using these corks. We chose Giando on the Water for our Reception so that we could have our love for New York captured with the Manhattan skyline in the background and the raw, beauty of Williamsburg and the Brooklyn Bridge Park for pictures. While I got ready and sipped champagne with my bridesmaids in my suite at the Brooklyn Bridge Marriot, Keith chose to partake in family tradition and went to Farrell’s with his Groomsmen for a “container” of beer before heading to Church. My mother and I had made the ceremony programs into paddle fans, knowing that the Church did not have air conditioning but never anticipating that it would be record high temperatures that day. After our ceremony, we went back to Keith’s family’s brownstone for pictures on the front stoop (another tradition). We also wanted to include the “other love of our life” in our wedding day. We couldn’t imagine not having him part of it, for at least a few minutes anyway. Our Boston Terrier, Samuel Adams (Sammy) participated in a photo session on that stoop. He matched the bridesmaids with his navy blue cuff links and bow tie. The cocktail hour was right on the water at Giandos. While our guests enjoyed the views of the City, Keith and I snuck away with Chris to get some amazing pictures in the street outside the hall. Our colors were navy blue and different shades of pink. The reception was lit up dramatically with pink uplighting and our DJ, Dash of Class, kept all of our guests on the dance floor the entire night.”
