Aside from being one of Long Island’s most used venues for weddings, Glen Cove Mansion is just down the road from our studio and it seems we are there shooting nearly every other weekend! So when Jennifer and Keith said they were getting married there, we new right away they would have an amazing wedding and that we’d have a fantastic time photographing it for them. Jennifer and Keith loved Glen Cove Mansion and how the estate harkened back to the height of Long Island’s North Shore golden age, when large estates and mansions gave the area its nickname, The Gold Coast. Our bride and groom had a fantastic day with friends and family, music, laughter, and best of all photos and memories that will last well into their own golden age. Congratulations again Jennifer and Keith!

Meagan and Joseph’s Long Island wedding at Glen Cove Mansion was simply fantastic. We had so much fun with them, capturing their day and making gorgeous photos of the two of them, their family and their friends. Meagan wanted to share a few words from their day: “I never thought I could feel the same amount of outpouring of love from Joe, as well as our family and friends, as I did the day Joe proposed. Well, I happily take that back and can say that our wedding on October 8th completely exceeded our expectations! We were engaged for 15 months before tying the knot, and spent many of those months commuting from Maryland to Long Island to be at all of the meetings and make all of the plans to create a day that was all about the two of us. We spent a lot of time looking into each one of the vendors we had hired and were so happy that we did. They all went above and beyond to make sure the vision Joe and I had for our day was followed through perfectly. Joe and I were told by many people that things were going to go wrong during our wedding day. In the back of our heads we both knew that was the truth and certainly encountered many “bumps” in the road leading up to our wedding but each time we hit a bump, Joe would tell me with a big smile (as I was red in the face!), “this is happening because our wedding day is going to be perfect.” And right he was! Perfect could easily be an understatement when it comes to our wedding day! From Joe meeting me at the altar with a red rose, the amazing weather, to the food, the beautiful flowers and the band who made sure to learn all the special songs we wanted – there was not one thing that we looked back on and wished it was different. We took a moment during the reception to step back and look around at all of our guests who were smiling and having so much fun. We couldn’t help but look at each other and realize that this was just the start of an amazing life that we are so excited to begin together.” Congratulations again Meagan and Joseph!

Laura was just getting the final touches of hair and makeup done when we arrived at her parents house on her wedding morning. The whole house was full of pretty, young girls in dresses anxiously waiting for Laura to come down the stairs in her wedding dress, and the anticipation was definitely rising as the minutes ticked by until we had to leave for the church. Matthew was patiently waiting (with a huge smile) as the ceremony started and Laura’s father walked her down the center aisle and into the arms of her groom. Afterwards we headed off to Glen Cove Mansion for some gorgeous portraits of the two of them and the reception with their family and friends. An fantastic night from start to finish and we can’t wait to sit down and help them put their album together. Congratulations again Laura and Matthew!

Did you see our latest Tuesday Shoesday post? Christina’s Chanel slippers made the scene and made the blog! Christina and Adrian had an absolutely gorgeous wedding and we had so much fun with the two of them on their wedding day. We met up with them early in the day for some getting ready photos at Glen Cove Mansion and then after their ceremony came back for their party. An amazing day from top to bottom – especially when you’ve got such cute shoes carrying you through! Congratulations again Christina and Adrian!

Long Island’s north shore is known for some pretty amazing estates, and nestled in amongst the small community of Glen Cove sits The Glen Cove Mansion with its sprawling lawns and stately trees. When Maria and Michael came to us they knew they wanted some gorgeous images outside, especially at sunset, so we spent some extra time taking them to our favorite spots around the mansion for their portraits. A mostly hazy day gave way to clearing skies and the sunset they were longing for and their gorgeous wedding day slipped into a fabulous night of partying with family and friends inside the mansion. Congratulations again Maria and Michael!
