Land’s End Wedding Photos – Tara and Adam

Tara and Adam had a gorgeous Summer wedding at Land’s End. Their mid August wedding on the beach was a gorgeous affair and we loved capturing it for them! Read what Tara had said when we asked her to recount her day: “So there were a lot of things to make the day extra special! I think one of my favorite parts of the day was the moment our photographer, Chris, set up for us to see each other for pictures. That initial moment leading up, knowing that I can see him and the anticipation of him waiting to see me was magical. It was one of the only moments that we had just to ourselves. Seeing Adam standing there calmed me down and made the whole day a lot more real. Another special part of the day was that my sister, who is a culinary student, made the cake. When we went into the room to view it and take the ‘room shots’ we suddenly saw the two and a half foot tall monster of a cake. It was almost too beautiful to eat with the hand made seashells cascading down. When we did get to eat it, it was delicious. It was super special to have my sister so involved this way. One of the best things I did was take every moment at a time and was never too serious that day. Whatever happens, happens (including my veil flying off with a great saving catch by my husband!!) and just being able to laugh at everything, and smile with everyone was amazing. I never wanted to have my makeup done, but last minute it was decided that it would be important to get it done. My makeup artist was amazing, and she listened to me (especially when I refused to put any foundation on my face). Her name is Judy (516) 367-1300 and it was nice to know I was being listened to. The same about my hair: I was so afraid that under the chuppa, Adam would turn to me and not recognize me, so it was very important to look like myself. I was able to still have my beach hair, but in a more sophisticated way – many thanks to Denise (516) 410-3153. By having these people listen to me I was able to feel more like myself and more comfortable at the wedding. Arcadia was the most amazing band!!! Being the first wedding of most of my friends, I had to set the bar. I already know a few weddings that they booked after my friends heard this band at mine! They even learned a song just for me and Adam (311 Love Song) which they learned last minute and it was a great surprise to us. We also loved Lovin’ Oven’s florist Keith. He was so eager to work with us, especially when I expressed I hate flowers and love organic plants. Whats the point of cutting down beautiful plants for just a day? Keith worked wonders coming up with such organic looking centerpieces and so many textures in my bouquet. One thing that our guests really enjoyed was having the party at Land’s End; the cocktail hour was outdoor and we had a steel drummer there as well. Our guests felt like it was a destination wedding so close to home – Land’s End really was able to give us the wedding of our dreams!” Congratulations again Tara and Adam!

Land’s End Wedding Photos – Jenny and Ryan

Jenny and Ryan’s Long Island wedding at Land’s End started early in the day with Jenny and Ryan getting ready. We headed over to the ceremony at St Anthony’s in East Norwich and then off to Land’s End for portraits of Jenny and Ryan by the water. The night was capped off by a fabulous party with family and friends that lasted into the night. We had a fantastic time with these two and we can’t wait for them to see all of their photos. Congratulations again Jenny and Ryan!

Land’s End Wedding Photos – Andrea and Ray

Andrea and Ray’s Long Island wedding at Land’s End took place on a beautiful mid Summer’s day. The blanket of clouds gave us a glorious soft, full light that was just perfect for portraits of our bride and groom. We took them around Land’s End and down to the docks for photos as ferry passengers shouted congratulations as they passed by. A beautiful day capped off with a fantastic party with family and friends. We had so much fun capturing their day for them and we can’t wait to see Andrea and Ray again. Congratulations again Andrea and Ray!

Lands End Wedding Photos – Nicole Elizabeth and Raymond James

What a terrific couple! Nicole and RJ’s Long Island Wedding at Land’s End was a gorgeous affair on a beautiful day in late Spring. We’d love to recap it, but Nicole has done such a fantastic job that we just had to share it – Congratulations again Nicole and RJ!

From the bride: “RJ and I were together for 5 years when he proposed on November 14th, 2009. I entered the room to find RJ down on one knee, next to our English Bulldog Kingston, who was wearing a tuxedo bowtie with my diamond engagement ring dangling from it. The groomsmen and grooms family took the pre wedding photos with Kingston (again in his tuxedo) at the Brightwaters lakes. RJ had 2 best men and 4 groomsmen, all dressed in Ralph Lauren tuxedos. He also had 1 junior groomsman, and 1 ring bearer. The adorable ring bearer was his 2 year old nephew Chayce. RJ (Raymond James Turnbull III) held two special things in the chest pocket of his tuxedo, over his heart. The first was a 60 year-old name plate ring with the RJT initials from his grandfather who passed away 3 years ago. The second was a purple rose pedal from his grandma, who passed away very sadly 6 weeks before the wedding. Her favorite color was purple, and that was the inspiration for the lilac purple roses the groomsmen wore as well as the purple roses in the bridesmaids bouquets. In lieu of a favor, we chose to make a donation in her honor to the hospice care network.

The bride/bridesmaids/brides family and grandparents got ready at my parents house where we took the balcony and lawn photos. Before arriving at the Church, my dad and I also stopped at the Brightwaters lake to take a photo in the same spot where my parents took their wedding photos 34 years earlier. My dress was a one of a kind, custom Judd Waddell gown from Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC. My cathedral veil was a Peter Langner silk ribbon veil with a blusher I wore over my face down the aisle. After the Church I changed into a shorter silk ribbon Priscilla of Boston veil, which was my something borrowed from my sister-in-law. My something old was my grandmothers pearl ring, a gorgeous family heirloom. My something new was matching chandelier pearl earrings, purchased by my mom at kleinfelds. And my something blue was a blue garter from my bridesmaids. My shoes were Benjamin Adams. My two sisters were my maids of honor, along with 4 bridesmaids, and two flower girls. The flower girls dresses were Us Angels. The bridesmaids wore floor-length Bill Levkoff gowns. All of the girls hair-do’s were done at Salon Eden in Bay Shore. Our makeup was done at the house by the Makeup Studio, Babylon.

The Church ceremony was at Saint Patrick’s in Bay Shore, celebrated by the same priest who married the brides parents and baptized the bride at that same church. The reception was at Land’s End in Bay Shore. After a beautiful cocktail hour, guests danced the night away to the live band, The Touch. All of the floral arrangments were designed by Keyth of Lovin Oven Floral Designs. Our first dance was to the song “Marry Me” by Train. The bride danced with her father to “Wonderful Tonight” by eric clapton. The groom danced with his mother to “My Wish” by rascall flatts. The bride also danced with her grandfather to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, a tribute to their longtime favorite movie, Wizard of Oz.”

Long Island Wedding Photos at Lands End – Jamie and John

We met up with Jaime and John early in the day to grab some shots of the two of the getting ready, before heading to Land’s End for their ceremony and reception. Jaime and John saw each other for the first time that day on the beach, and I’m not sure we could have picked a better spot! What a wonderful moment set on a grand back drop of the ocean’s edge. A twilight ceremony overlooking the beach, crisp clear moonlit skies, friends and family everywhere and a handful of Red Hots for a hot and spicy, lively night of celebration! Congratulations again Jaime and John!

Land’s End Wedding Photos – Sabina and Alfonso’s Long Island Wedding

We met up with Sabina early in the morning at her home for some shots of her getting ready and then we took Sabina and her bride’s maids over to Land’s End. We made some gorgeous images of both Sabina and Alfonso alone before the ceremony, but afterwards when we stole them away for some portraits of the two of them together, we really got to see how the two of them just shine around each other. Sabina and Alfonso were so much fun to work with, and as you can probably tell from the shots of Sabina getting out of the limo, we had a blast capturing their day for them. Congratulations again Sabina and Alfonso!
