Sara and Nick’s NYC Wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers was fantastic! We had so much fun capturing their day for them; here’s what they wanted to share from their day: “It was a really great day for Nick and I. We started out the day way too early, getting ready at my parents house, then onto a bus into Manhattan, where we obviously sat in unavoidable NY traffic at the 59th Street bridge because they were filming a movie. I had hoped for a beautiful fall day, and except for a little wind, we had excellent weather. We had searched long and hard for a venue and the Lighthouse turned out to be absolutely perfect, the staff made sure everything ran seamlessly and there was nary a problem the entire day. Our favorite part of the day was the ceremony, which we worked hard with our Reverend to customize. I wore my mom’s blue garter, jewelry borrowed from my grandma, and I was married in a wedding band that belonged to my great grandmother, that was very meaningful for me. I walked down the aisle to one of our favorite Iron & Wine songs, which our band leader Pete Saunders learned specifically for our wedding. One of the funniest things that I think happened was that I actually forgot to wear my veil during the ceremony, and nobody realized! Even I did not realize until we were leaving and I saw the bride who was being married that evening at the Lighthouse taking pictures in her veil, and I was like, oh my god I didn’t wear my veil! That, and my cousin’s fiancée split his pants open dancing – a good time was had that afternoon. In fact, our band actually told us that they could not believe how many people were up and dancing since it was an afternoon wedding. We had a blast.” Congratulations again Sara and Nick!

Kristy and Michael’s NYC Wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers was a fabulous affair. Their day started out early with Kristy and Michael getting ready before their wedding. Then it was off to the city and St Vartan Armenian Cathedral for their ceremony where Kristy and Michael would first see each other. Immediately after we headed to the Flat Iron building and Madison Square Park for photos of our newly minted husband and wife. Soon it was time to join family and friends at The Lighthouse for an amazing party, with Atlas florists beautifying the space and Hank Lane filling the air with music. We had a fantastic time with Kristy and Michael and can’t wait for them to come back and go through all of the photos with them when they lay out their album. Congratulations again Kristy and Michael!

Molly and Casey’s NYC Wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers was fantastic! Their day started at the Paramount Hotel in midtown Manhattan where Molly and Casey were getting ready. After they had their first look at each other all decked out for their wedding day, we headed down to the Meat Packing District to get some photos of the two of them together against the rugged and eclectic streets of one of our favorite areas of Manhattan to shoot in. Molly and Casey were so much fun to shoot – not to mention gorgeous – and their bridal party kept the high standard Molly and Casey set forth making the afternoon just fly by. Soon it was time to head to The Lighthouse to meet family and friends, exchange vows, and then celebrate! Molly and Casey had some of their very musically talented friends step in and get the party rolling with live music throughout the night, while Bardin Palomo florists had the room dressed to impress. An amazing day from beginning to end and an amazing couple as well. Congratulations again Molly and Casey!

Cassie and Steve’s New York City Wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers was amazing. We had a fantastic time with these two, from the early morning getting ready, straight through to their party. We could go on and on, but we wanted to let Cassie give you all the details of the day in her own words: “First and foremost, the people we shared it with made our wedding the most special. All of our guests could not have been more wonderful. Everyone involved in the ceremony was someone we absolutely adore and love. We had parents, brothers, sisters, nephews and friends in the bridal party, my Uncle officiated, and one of our best friends played the guitar for us. There is a tradition in Steve’s family where everyone forms a circle and dances around a bottle; it was fabulous to see Steve’s family welcome my family in, and my family jump right in to share in the fun! Another thing that made our wedding special was the little things that we made ourselves. I made a decorated tissue-box for my Dad who has a propensity for tears, a display of all of our married guests’ wedding pictures, as well as the program and the tags for our favors. Steve made three varieties of incredible home-brewed beer for our guests. It was wonderful to see our loved ones sharing in our special day with us and enjoying the things we put so much work into, and of course a big thank you to the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, who really made our day smooth, relaxed, beautiful, and delicious ” We can’t get enough of these two – congratulations again Cassie and Steve!

Stacie and Seth’s New York City Wedding started out at the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park, where they were getting ready for their day. We had a fantastic time with Stacie and Seth, walking through Battery Park making gorgeous photos of the two of them. Soon it was time to head up to The Lighthouse for their ceremony and party, where family and friends were waiting to help them celebrate. Stacie shared a few of her favorite moments with us and we had to pass them on to you: “We lucked out with gorgeous weather – thankfully, Hurricane Irene passed through the city the week before. Some our our favorite memories: Getting the paparazzi treatment in the park, sharing our personalized vows for the first time, hearing the cheers from a passing cruise ship right before saying “I do”, dancing our butts off, and celebrating the best night ever with friends and family. And, oh yes, our red velvet wedding cake!” What a fantastic couple – congratulations again Stacie and Seth!

Rebecca and Jeremy’s New York City wedding was held at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We had a fantastic time capturing their day for them, but we wanted to let Rebecca tell you about it from her perspective: “The bridal party, my parents and I got ready beforehand at the Gansevoort Park Hotel and Jeremy and his groomsmen got ready at the Barber Shop John Allan’s in TriBeCa. Jeremy and I had “the big reveal” (one of our favorite, and most emotional, moments of the night) when we saw each other for the first time outside on the Pier along the water. I pinned a broach belonging to my grandmother (who couldn’t be at the wedding) into the stem of my bouquet as I walked down the aisle. The wedding had a romantic vibe with touches of pinks, creams and whites with lots of candles and petals. One of our favorite things of the night were the candles floating over the dance floor Atlas Floral. We, and all the guests, also LOVED the band JK Entertainment - my feet hurt for a week we all danced so much! We also loved Brett Matthews (of course!!), and last but not least, we are SO grateful to everyone involved for making our day one that we’ll never forget.
