Belma and Evan’s New York Country Club wedding was gorgeous! Dramatic skies with billowing grey clouds made for perfect portrait light outside, and gorgeous window light in. We had a fabulous time with Belma and Evan, but we thought we’d let them share their day from their perspective. Here’s what Belma had to say: “My favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony. I remember walking down the isle with my parents and I was really nervous to be in front of so many people and to recite our own vows. When I saw Evan though, I felt so much better and I was just really happy (so I just focused on him and everything else was a blur). Writing our own vows also made our wedding very special. Our ceremony was so personal and our officiant (Norma from One Heart Ceremonies) really did an amazing job. She told the story of how we met and became best friends, and it was really the happiest moment of my life. The ceremony was also more spiritual instead of religious. Evan is Jewish and I’m not really anything by religion but we incorporated the chuppah and the glass breaking which was really nice. During the reception, we played some Albanian music to blend in some of my culture. It’s also tradition for the groom to light a napkin on fire because it signifies the end of bachelorhood. This was pretty comical because the napkin wouldn’t light, but eventually it ended up working out. The reception overall was just a blast. We danced the entire night and just had an amazing time celebrating with our closest family and friends. My dress was Ann Barge. I love it so much… I really felt magical in it. And Evan really loved it too 
I got it from Kleinfeld’s and the designer actually helped me pick it out! My shoes were Jimmy Choos and I also wore a flower headpiece from Bridal Reflections. I wore diamond earrings (the diamonds once belonged to Evan’s grandmother and his parents made them into earrings for me), a tennis bracelet (which was one of my wedding gifts from Evan), and a Swarovski necklace. For flowers we used Pedestals. They did a beautiful job! We used trees with orchids and also orchids in vases. We felt they really made the wedding beautiful and brought out the fall theme. The bridesmaids dresses were Amsale and they also matched the flowers beautifully. All the girls had different styles but the same chiffon material and color. Our DJ was Christian from Craig Scott Entertainment (he was awesome!) and the venue was New York Country Club (the food was delicious). For favors, we used honey jars from Tassot Apperies in New Jersey. We embellished the jars by adding fabric over them, tying it in pretty ribbon and adding a label with our initials. The honey is delicious and everyone loved it!” Congratulations again Belma and Evan!
