Shayna’s Northern New Jersey Bat Mitzvah at The Rockleigh Country Club was fantastic! What an amazing girl, surrounded by an amazing family and incredible friends. We had a blast at Shayna’s party and can’t wait for Shayna and her family to get all of their proofs. Here’s what Debbie (Shayna’s mom – who also did all of the party planning herself) had to say about the day: “What made this day extra special was Shayna, the dedicated people we dealt with in preparation for the Bat Mitzvah and our wonderful friends and family. Shayna’s theme was “peace” which totally describes her: grace, beauty and kindness. She did an unbelievable job at the temple, then upon arriving at The Rockleigh she changed into her ballgown, and despite a number of unfortunate disappointments, she just shined and was the epitome of grace, style and class. She is extra special – she looked and acted like a true princess. Her paternal grandma got stuck in the biggest flood in the history of Binghamton NY and we couldn’t get her out, so she was absent, as well as her four 1st cousins due to various unfortunate events. This proves to me that in life you can plan but must roll with the punches, the event must go on and we did our absolute best to focus on the wonderful people who were there to support and share in our big day. We were successful at that! We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful family and friends, who came from all over the country – even as far as England! Shayna’s most special moment of her Bat MItzvah was doing the Ha-Motzei with her Grandpa Ronnie, and among our most favorite parts was the candlelighting ceremony filled with heartfelt and personalized poems. One special feature of our party, which many guests said was the highlight of the party, was the montage. I spent over 3 months creating a video montage, a true illustration, the essence of Shayna from the day she was born (lots of humor in it!). We dreamt of this day and I planned it for almost 3 years and it was spectacular! Enjoy every minute of it, it flies by in a heartbeat!” Mazel Tov Shayna!
